Tatyana Golikova

Born in the town of Mytishchi, Moscow region, on February 9, 1966.

1987: graduated from Moscow's Plekhanov Institute of National Economy with a degree in Labor Economics.

1987-1990: researcher with the Labor Research Institute under the State Labor Committee of the USSR.

1990-1998: economist, leading economist, chief economist, section head, deputy head of the Budget Department with the Finance Ministry. 

1998-1999: head of the Budget Department, member of the Board of the Finance Ministry of the Russian Federation.

1999-2007: deputy, first deputy finance minister of the Russian Federation.

A decree by the President of the Russian Federation No 1260 of September 24, 2007 appointed her minister of health and social development of the Russian Federation (in the Cabinet chaired by Viktor Zubkov).

A decree by the President of the Russian Federation No 737 of May 12, 2008 appointed her minister of health and social development of the Russian Federation (in the Cabinet chaired by Vladimir Putin).

Holds Ph.D. degree in Economics.

Awarded with the medal of the order “For Services to Fatherland,” 1^st Class (A decree by the President of the Russian Federation No 1598 of December 25, 2004), the “Order of Honor” (for services during preparation and conduct of events devoted to the 60^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945; A decree by the President of the Russian Federation No 86 of February 9, 2006) and the order “For Services to Fatherland,” 4^th Class (for services in the organization and conduct of events providing relief to the suffering people of the Republic of South Ossetia; A decree by the President of the Russian Federation No 1813 of December 23, 2008).
